Find quick and easy answers to your questions here.
What types of photography do you offer?
I specialise in portraiture and events, but honestly, I’m all about capturing anything with personality and flair. Whether you’re looking to create stunning portraits that showcase your true self or need someone to capture the electric vibe of your event, I’ve got you covered. If it involves people, colour, and some serious good vibes, I’m in!
How can I book a session?
Booking with me is as easy as hitting up a friend for a coffee! Simply reach out via the contact form on my website, and let’s chat about your vision for your shoot. Whether it’s a relaxed portrait session or a full-blown event, I’m here to help bring your ideas to life. I can’t wait to hear all about your plans!
Where are you based?
I’m based in beautiful South Devon, where the coast meets the countryside and the views are just as stunning as the people! From rolling hills to coastal charm, I feel lucky to call this area home, and it’s the perfect backdrop for any shoot. But don’t worry — if you’re not local, I’m always up for an adventure!
Do you travel for shoots?
Absolutely! I’m always up for a little adventure. Whether your shoot is in the heart of Devon, across the UK, or even beyond, I’m more than happy to pack my gear and hit the road (or skies!). If your dream shoot is somewhere far away, just let me know — I’ll be there with bells on and a camera in hand!
How long will my session last?
It really depends on what we’re shooting! For portraits, we’ll typically be together for 1-2 hours. For events, I’ll be there to capture all the big moments, from the first look to the last dance (and everything in between). I’ll make sure we have plenty of time to capture the magic without feeling rushed!
How do you approach event photography?
I’m all about capturing the candid, unposed moments that make your event truly unforgettable. I’ll blend into the background, snapping shots of the laughs, the hugs, and those unexpected, beautiful moments. While I’ll absolutely take group shots and portraits if that’s your thing, I like to tell your story through natural, vibrant images that feel like the real deal.
What happens if the weather’s bad on the day of my shoot?
I totally get it — no one wants to deal with soggy hair or rain-soaked outfits! But fear not — weather can actually lead to some epic shots (hello, moody skies and dramatic lighting). If the weather’s being extra challenging, we can either reschedule or embrace it and get creative. I’m here for it, no matter what the forecast says!
How soon can I expect to see my photos?
I’m all about speed! You’ll get a sneak peek of some preview shots within 3 days of your session, and your full gallery will be ready within 3-4 weeks (depending on how many photos we’ve shot!). I like to make sure each image gets the attention it deserves, but I’ll always keep you updated along the way.
How do I get the photos after my session?
I’ll deliver your beautiful, edited images via a private online gallery where you can download them straight to your computer or device. You’ll have full access to your gallery, and if you want prints or albums, we can chat about how to make those happen too!
Can I share my photos on social media?
Of course! You can share your photos however you like — I want you to shout from the rooftops about how amazing your day was! If you’re posting to social media, feel free to tag me as well (@danniecarterphotos), and let’s spread the love!
Do you offer commercial photography services?
Yes, I do! I work with businesses, brands, and creatives to produce high-quality commercial imagery. Whether it’s product photography, brand campaigns, or corporate headshots, I collaborate with you to create images that elevate your brand and communicate your vision. Let’s talk about how I can help bring your business to life visually!
